Teamsters 213 app for iPhone and iPad

This application was made solely with the intention to be used by Union employees, union truck drivers and anybody else in the Teamsters 213 Union ecosystem. This environment consists of union members, union administrators, owner-operators, dependent contractors and regular members. This application will serve as a messaging board for all employees. Along with that, it will allow for announcements, instant messages, and complaints to be filed. Additionally, this app will serve as a repository for training videos which will be linked to the Teamsters Local Union No. 213 website Youtube page. To ensure that the union truck drivers are working on the correct job sites, the application will feature a tracking mechanism that will notify the Union regarding any wrongdoing. This tracking is solely for the purpose of blocking misuse from union truck drivers and their location will not be tracked outside of work hours. The tracking of trucks in the industry is the standard. All drivers will be notified of this feature and will have agreed to it through the Terms & Conditions of the application.

As we are monitoring the Union employees region & speed, we will keep device GPS running. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
